Family Motorcycle

This was originally my DAD'S COUSIN'S motorcycle. He passed away, and a couple OF years later, I ended up with it. It needed some TLC.

This motorcycle is a 1999 Triumph Speed Triple 955i. It has had multiple owners, and a lot of things are aftermarket or modified, which made it really hard for me to figure out problems. To start off, the electrical system wasn’t working properly, and the bike wouldn’t run clean. I started out taking everything off and diving into the electrical system, which was my first time dealing with wiring. I found some issues around the idle air control valve, which was why the bike wouldn’t run clean. The blinkers weren’t working properly either.

The next thing I started on was the rear cowl, which was missing when I got the bike. I started making a locking pin through Fusion 360 and 3d printed it to ensure it fit. After that, I started making the cowl out of high-density foam and shaping it to what I wanted. I made some wood pieces to drill the mounting points into, and it is ready for me to fiberglass. I will do that, then wrap vinyl over it and the rest of the bike for a fresh look.
